Mikaela Parmlid of USC emerged as the individual champion of the NCAA women's golf championship Saturday. USC won the event with a team total of 1,197 -- 15 strokes ahead of second-place Pepperdine.

Washington's only participant, junior Lindsay Morgan, struggled in the second round of play, tumbling back to 104th place. She closed out the competition with back-to-back 73s. She finished the tournament in a tie for 66th place at 24-over 312, bettering last year's effort by 22 spots.

The Husky team will look to return next season with a promising trio of golfers. Morgan will be joined by current freshman Sung Ea Lee, as well as the injured Paige Mackenzie. Mackenzie, a sophomore, plans to continue rehab for an injured back that has kept her off the course since November.
