Lorenzo Romar, Husky men's basketball coach, is currently flexing his coaching muscles in preparation for the Pan Am Games.
Romar is serving as an assistant coach for the U.S. men's basketball team for the games, which will be held Aug. 2 through 6 in the Dominican Republic. Michigan State's Tom Izzo is serving as the team's coach and Quin Snyder of University of Missouri is sharing in the assistant coach duties.
The games, which has been held every four years in the year prior to the Olympics since 1951, is a multi-sport competition that gathers athletes from North, South and Central America.
The eight-team basketball tournament will end with the gold-medal game Aug. 6.
