TECHNICAL FOUL
At 2:34 p.m. on Oct. 20, a suspect entered the playing area of the basketball court in Hec Edmundson Pavilion during team practice and requested to see basketball coach Lorenzo Romar.
The suspect claimed he was a basketball player and that he needed to see the coach so that he could pick up his keys. The suspect was escorted out of the building and told not to return. He was also told that if he did return he would be arrested for trespassing.
The suspect verbally acknowledged the warning by swearing back at the police officers. The trespasser will not suit up for the Huskies' first game of the season.
CAMPUS CAMPER
At 8:50 p.m. on Oct. 20, an officer responded to a sleeping trespasser outside of the triangle garage.
The suspect was sleeping in the bushes in his sleeping bag covered by a tarp. He had his boots off and several bags located in the immediate vicinity. The suspect was asked to stand up to be patted down for weapons because of the darkness, his lack of immediate cooperation and the fact that he was wearing bulky clothing.
The suspect was instructed that he is not allowed to camp on UW property and that if he is contacted again he would be arrested for trespassing.
'TOO CONVENIENT' OF A CRIME
Sometime between 11 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 20, a burglary occurred in a dormitory room in Lander Hall.
The resident reported that he thought his door was unlocked during the time of burglary, making it easy to enter the room.
The resident's wallet, located in his desk drawer, was the only item taken. Since the time of the theft, the resident's Husky card was used at Too Convenient, a convenience store located in Terry Hall. Crime prevention tips were discussed with the resident.
