Diamond Dawgs participate in RBI Tournament
Coming off a three-game sweep at home against Gonzaga, the No. 22 Washington baseball team will participate in RBI Tournament in California, hosted by UC-Riverside (5-8). The Diamond Dawgs (5-1) will play Sacramento State (9-5) today at 7 p.m., face the host school tomorrow, and rival Oregon State (6-0) Sunday.
Washington will look for strong performances from its pitchers at the tournament, starting three right-handers. Freshman Richie Lentz (0-1, 6.0 ERA) is scheduled to start tonight. Tim Lincecum, who threw four no-hit innings against the Zags, will start tomorrow and sophomore Keaton Everitt is slated for Sunday's game.
Husky pitchers only allowed 11 hits against Gonzaga.

SWIMMING
Huskies improve to 7th place at Pac-10 championships
The Washington women's swim team moved from ninth to seventh place after the second day at the Pac-10 championships, with a total of 134 points.
The Huskies' 200-yard freestyle relay, which placed sixth overall with a season-best time of 1:33.46, qualified for a provisional NCAA finish. The team consisted of sophomore Sharon Olson, senior Lisa Fanning, sophomore Liya Liu, and junior Desiree Johnson.
Coach Mickey Wender would not set the relay line ups until he arrived in Long Beach, leaving the spots open to competition. It will be the second consecutive year the 200-yard free relay represents the UW at NCAA championships.
Fanning swam a 23.47 in the 50-yard free during a preliminary swim and earned an individual berth to NCAAs as well.
The Huskies continue Pac-10 cahampionship action tomorrow in Long Beach.
