The minds at the UW athletic department have put together a coffee-table book about Husky Stadium and the "golden moments" in its 84-year history. Proceeds from the sale of the 160-page book will benefit the athletic department's scholarship endowment fund.

Husky Stadium: Great Games and Golden Moments was written by Jim Daves, UW assistant athletic director for media relations, and W. Thomas Porter, former Bank of America Northwest executive and the chair of the UW's $54 million campaign for the student athlete.

This is the second book for Daves and Porter, who colloboted on a previous coffee-table book, The Glory of Washington: The People and Events That Shaped Washington's Athletic Tradition.

Published by Parker Hood Press, Husky Stadium: Great Games and Golden Moments is available exclusively at the University Book Store for $45 until Aug. 30. The book can also be ordered online at www.huskyfever.com.
