The Washington gymnastics team finishes its two-week homestand by hosting Arizona, Minnesota, and Seattle Pacific at 7 p.m. today at Hec Edmundson Pavilion.

The No. 18 Huskies (4-1 overall, 2-0 Pac-10) defeated Stanford 192.825-192.425 last Friday behind first place finishes by junior Kelly McDonald on beam and senior Tacia LaBatte on floor.

The UW competed without seniors Carly Dockendorf and Molly Seaman. Dockendorf is expected to participate at today's meet.

"Her routine is watered down, and whether she competes on the beam and floor just depends on her ankle," coach Bob Levesque said.

Seaman, who is suffering from recurring knee problems, commented on the team as she watched practices from the sidelines yesterday.

"We are going in the right direction," Seaman said. "We did not start off as prepared as we did last year, and we have a lot of freshmen."

Freshman Brittany Brabec will only be available for the bars after injuring her foot.

Arizona (6-3, 1-0) comes to Seattle after knocking off Arizona State last Friday. The No. 20 Wildcats are led by 2004 second team All-American Monica Bisord.

As Arizona is a Pac-10 rival, Levesque states the focus is squarely on the Wildcats.

"Arizona is good this year, and they count for us," Levesque said. "Minnesota and SPU don't matter."

Minnesota is coming off a loss to No. 10 Iowa State last weekend. The Golden Gophers are a young squad with only one senior, Carolyn Yernberg.

Seattle Pacific finished No. 7 nationally last year in Division II and return this year with five All-Americans. The Huskies hold a 53-4 lead over the Falcons all-time, but did fall to SPU last season

Washington returns to road action Feb. 3 when it faces Boise State in Boise, Idaho.
