Lepp in third place at Ashworth Invitational

Washington men's golf junior James Lepp is in third place after two rounds at Ashworth Collegiate Invitational yesterday in Westlake Village, Calif.
Lepp shot an even par with 71 and a 3-under par with 68 to finish 3-under par with 139. Lepp trails Georgia Southern's Aron Price by six strokes, with Price carding a 9-under par with 133. Tennessee's Ross McGowan is in second at 6-under par with 136.
The Huskies are tied with Vanderbilt for eighth place at 26-over par with 594. Washington began the day in fourth with a 9-over par with 293 in the opening round, but shot a 17-over par with 301 in the afternoon.
Tennessee leads the pack at 5-under par with 563. Host USC is four strokes behind the Volunteers at 1-under par with 567
Sophomore Erik Olson finished 43rd at 8-over par with 150, after rounds of 3-over par with 74 and 5-over par with 76. Freshman Joe Panzeri equaled his career best by starting the tournament with an even par with 71. He shot a 10-over par with 81 in the second round to finish 51st with 10-over par with 152.
Alex Prugh is one shot back of Panzeri at 11-over par with 153.Freshman Zach Bixler is 74th at 159.
The final round of play begins today at 7:45 a.m.
