I would hardly call declaring a state of emergency a "rant," if anything, what Gov. Gregoire did should be a rave. Sure UW and greater Seattle didn't see much damage due to the storm, but clearly whoever chose this rant hasn't been paying ANY attention to the news--floods have damaged cities all over southwestern WA, broken bridges, flooded families out of their homes, closed businesses and schools, and even taken a small death toll. And how does declaring this a state of emergency qualify as a rant again?
